AN ALADDIN'S CAVE

An Aladdin’s Cave is an evocative work from the TRANSCENDENCE series - six paper sculptures conceived as portals to unseen realms. Its title drawn from the familiar idiom that suggests hidden abundance and wondrous discovery. Constructed from 49 meticulously layered sheets of paper and brought to life through a palette of 26 vivid colors, the sculpture is framed by a singular arch that opens into a geometric cavern. Within, stalactite-like forms and ornamental details—echoing Arabian and Moroccan architectural motifs—shape a cave-like interior that draws the eye steadily inward, creating the feeling of entering a concealed chamber.
