TIP OF THE ICEBERG

Tip of the Iceberg is a thought-provoking work from the TRANSCENDENCE series - six paper sculptures conceived as portals to unseen realms. Its title alluding to the enduring expression that suggests unseen depth beneath what is immediately visible. The piece invites the viewer to consider how much lies hidden beyond first impressions.
 
Composed of 57 meticulously layered sheets of paper and brought to life through a palette of 30 vivid colors, the sculpture is structured around a poised pyramidal form that emerges at the surface. Rendered in light, cool shades of blue and green, this upper “iceberg” appears calm and contained—only a fragment of the whole.
 
Beneath it unfolds a vast kaleidoscopic field, where a vibrant interplay of oranges, yellows, blues, greens, and warm browns reveals the magnitude concealed below. The layered construction creates a compelling visual descent, reinforcing the central idea that what is seen is only a small portion of a much larger reality.
