This is the 3D puzzle of the ' LaufMaschine '. A German invention of 1881 that is the predecessor of modern bicycle. The wooden kit is made from laser cut MDF and its assembly requires no glue as all the parts are inter locking.

It is made to the scale of 1:10 and can be painted to reflect your personality. The completed vintage bicycle model makes an elegant desk decor, something that a cyclist would truly cherish. This fun project is a great gift for DIY enthusiasts and bicycle lovers.

  • Fun Facts

    1. Laufmaschine or "running machine" was invented by Karl Drais in 1818.
    2. It is also called "Draisienne" and "Dandy Horse" as it was a substitute to horse riding.
    3. Regarded as the ancestor of bicycles, it was made of wood.
    4. It had a steering system but no pedals so the rider propelled it forward by pushing the feet against the ground.
    5. Though is wasn't a bike in modern sense of the word ,this invention marked the Big Bang for bicycle development.
