Roulette is a dynamic work from the SPECTRAL MATRIX series, a collection that deciphers intricate geometric structures through deliberate, highly selective use of the color spectrum. Its title ‘Roulette’ references the thrill and uncertainty of the spinning wheel, capturing momentum suspended between chance and control.
Constructed from 21 meticulously layered sheets of paper and brought to life through a palette of 16 vivid colors, the composition radiates outward with electric energy. Soothing browns, deep maroons, and vibrant greens collide in rapid succession, amplifying the sensation of perpetual motion. As light moves across the layered surfaces, depth and shadow ignite subtle prisms, transforming structured geometry into a pulse of anticipation and kinetic force.
