THE LABYRINTH
‘The Labyrinth’ is an immersive triptych from the Kaleidoscope series—a collection inspired by the wonder of shifting patterns and the desire to hold onto a moment of perfect symmetry. Rooted in kaleidoscopic geometry, the work draws the viewer into a quiet, unfolding maze where complexity and order exist in delicate balance.
Composed of three interconnected pieces—two flanking panels and a central core—each element is meticulously crafted from 20 intricately cut layers of 300gsm paper. Together, they form an expansive composition that invites the eye to wander, tracing pathways that repeat, diverge, and resolve. True to its name, The Labyrinth encourages a slow, meditative engagement, where decoding the structure becomes part of the experience. A palette of soothing tones tempers the intricacy, creating a sense of calm within the visual complexity.
As light moves across the layered surfaces, depth and shadow animate the composition, transforming it from a flat arrangement into a dynamic, dimensional field. From afar, it reads as a unified, rhythmic whole; up close, its intricate construction reveals itself in ever-evolving detail.
A contemplative and striking work, Labyrinth brings scale, depth, and quiet intrigue to a thoughtfully curated space—an enduring piece designed to be explored, revisited, and cherished over time.
