2016

These wooden sculptures are of indigenous motorized rickshaws, made from over 150 laser cut parts each. They are stained and polished to highlight the fibers in the MDF, enhancing its natural appeal. They are made in the signature 'Barsplit' style that makes the structure see-through.

In Cambodia, carriages pulled by a motorcycle/scooter are called a Remork or TukTuk by tourist. Peru has its own unique 3 wheeler called the Moto-Taxi, which has a motorcycle fused to the main carriage frame. Philippines' ingenious motor rickshaws are called Tricycles. Used for public transport they have a motorbike attached at the side of the carriage.
